Tour De Yorkshire – Cycle Weekend 1st, 2nd and 3rd May 2015
Wow, it seems Yorkshire really is the place to be right now. Following the appearance of the Tour De France right here in Yorkshire in 2014 – well it seems that cycling enthusiasts and people with an interest in the great outdoors are set for another treat when the Tour De Yorkshire comes to the region this May 1st, 2nd and 3rd 2015.
At Cave Castle Hotel we very recently had the pleasure of hosting the beautiful wedding of the lovely Jane and Graham.
After preparing at their local home, the happy couples ceremony took place at the nearby All Saints South Cave which is literally a minutes’ walk from our front gates.
Here at Cave Castle Hotel we are offering a special package which includes entry tickets, return transport to the racecourse, supper on return, overnight accommodation and full Yorkshire breakfast.
Cave Castle in its present form was built in 1875. There was however, an ancient fortification on this site mentioned in the Doomsday book 1086 and many fine buildings existed in between times. The Castle was bought by the Barnard family in 1748 and the house in its various forms remained in the family until 1925.
